Materials & Specifications

Our Eurolok Cable Ties are produced on multi impression tools which mould complete one piece ties with no metal parts.

They are manufactured from fully UL Approved reinforced general purpose Nylon 66, which has been tested to UL94V2. This material offers a well balanced combination of engineering properties characterised by its high strength and rigidity and is also resitant to many chemicals, solvents, machine and motor oils.

The material is also zero halogenated and also has a low smoke and fume capability when compared with materials such as PVC, PP, PE, ABS, POM etc. The classified oxygen index at a max 28% dry is considered excellent in halogen free and LSF situations (see table below for full details)

Specification and the testing of the Cable Ties has been based on the full requirement of BS EN 50146:2000 and the directives detailed in Military Specification SAE-AS23190 which is related to SAE-AS33671 and SAE-AS33681.

With regard to the underwriters laboratory specification requirements, the full implications of UL1565 have been achieved and our UL approved E157276 is available upon application.
