ID is on the large size so a loose fit on 6mm hose tails

This would depend on your hose tails and how you measure the fitting. a 6mm barbed tail should measure 6.4 - 6.8mm O.D on the tip of barb and not dead 6mm like a 6mm pin punch or drill. If less than the 6mm you would have needed small I.D hose to suit we have many sizes
